Getting used to new routines in daycare and a ride on a slippery dip

Today, Monday October 5 was Sofie's third day in public care. She spent half of the morning alone and it went well with no tears or drama. Below are a few photos mum took before she left Sofie alone.

Last week Sofie spent all her time indoors but this week she will be slowly getting used to the routine of getting out into the play area every morning before lunch. Sofie was very fascinated by the two chooks that have a pen in the play ground.

........ and she also loved giving this old horse some grass. These horses live right next to the childrens play ground which the children just love.

October 6, was a big day for Sofie as it was the first time she slept at the childcare center. She did really well and actually slept for two hours which is great considering the center and the cots there are new for her.

Below are a few videos of the morning before mum left.

Back at home that afternoon....

All of Sofie's toys now have a place and this dog made by her cousin Daniel now lives in the box her Ecco boots arrived in. We aren't too sure why she drums the box everytime she closes it.

Sofie checking to see whether all her passengers are OK. Notice the hat she is wearing which arrived with the post today and was handmade by grandma.

A close-up of the great hat that will keep Sofie's head nice and warm.

Playing with lego bricks is popular.

Last lesson at level 2 and it was play time and Sofie got to have a ride on a slippery dip.

Relaxing an a floating mat!

More walking exercises. Sofie stands up on her own now!

A trip to the beach and Sofie keeps warm in her Chariot now equipped with a very warm sleeping bag ready for winter.

Hands and head keep warm in gloves and hat given to her by one of Mums girlfriend. These along with the great hat from grandma are sure to keep her warm this winter.
